Nice. You were definetely working him over when you stayed in close and kept mixing in arms. He was really not defending that at all, and even his counters looked weak when he got into it.
Later, you looked really linear when he kept nailing you with all those front snap kicks.
Easy for me to say that from this position of course, this is why you need coach in the corner to toss out some directions.
As Tyson said “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face!”

Yeah, I could have handled the front kicks better. I was trying to get a good deflection going so that I could land a counter on the back of one of his legs, but the one time the deflection worked he moved fast out of the way, and my kick missed. I got in a nice side kick too but my side kicks are reflexive and lack power.
I realized that my punches were working in the second round and closed range; that’s when he discovered by accident that knees were a good idea.
Incidentally, neither of us had a coach – this was a “display” fight and the coach was talking to the commentator!
