I found this in the tumblr We are the 53%, your go-to page for people who vote against their own interests. Darth Vader and his stormtroopers are classic examples of people who voted against their own interests. You’re an exemplar for us all, Lord Vader!
It’s fun to go through that tumblr and spot the people who are actually in the upper 53% of the income distribution.
Melbourne had about a hundred people occupying the city sqaure this week. I was so tempted to show up with two mates, say they didn’t represent us then insist they rename their movement to “We are the 97%”.
And the best thing is for them to prove me wrong they’d have to get 99 people for every person I could get on board 🙂
